The CDA-118M is designed for full operation in your boat. The CDA-118M comes in a 1.8 DIN faceplate size, for an easy upgrade for standard marine head units. This unit features a large 2-line LCD screen, viewable in direct sunlight. Skip-resistant CD mechanism ensures continuous playback while you're on the waves. The CDA-118M is fully IPx5 waterproof and salt fog/UV certified. EEPROM no-loss memory, ensures even when the boat is not in use and the battery is disconnected, all your radio presets, zone controls, sound adjustments will stay intact.

I installed this receiver in a 150 qt cooler to use for tubing, tailgating, etc. The receiver worked beautifully till one day it stopped recognizing my USB/iPod connector. I bought new connectors thinking that it might just be a bad wire, but nothing works. So I can no longer use my iPhone or MP3 via USB connector. Otherwise, the receiver works beautifully. I recently purchased the Sirius/XM set up and it works great. The CD player also works very well. I was thinking about getting the Blue Tooth connector to play my iPhone but then I don't think I can control the music - it will only stream.Alpine makes great products and I've been a big fan. I just wish I would have known Alpine doesn't cover their normal warranty if it's bought on Amazon. If I had known, I would have paid a little more to get a warranty. Especially love the fact that it has 4 sets of preamps (front, rear, zone 2 and sub). Way more things it can do than I really need. Love the Zone 1, Zone 2 volume control. I run my tower speakers off of zone 2 and it let's me crank those without deafening everyone in he boat. Navigating songs is a little clunky, but I can live with that given its such a quality marine deck. Runs my iPod with any function i could ask for. Would purchase again.
