I connected the external mic near the upper left windsheild corner. -nice looking headunit-piano black finish -display is bright enough for me; other people have complained that its not bright enough. The Bad: -does not stream bluetooth A2DP.... huge flaw from kenwood. one would think kenwood's top single din headunit would come with this feature. I would have rated it 5 stars but it is missing this feature. -HD radio works off and on-I really cant tell the differeance -when making phone calls, scrolling through the phone book via headunit is very annoying. much easier to control through phone. -comes with a cheap kenwood cloth to store the... You cannot get away from it in bright sun. The problem is the glossy curved glass design of the face. If you have dark interior, I think it would not be much of a problem. In my car most of the glare comes from the sun shining through the windshield and my lighter seats reflecting in the display. I defeat this by holding my hand up to the display, but the fact that I have to do this is annoying. This a case of a sleek design interfering with the functionality of the display. At night and the right conditions during the day, I love the display. It is very customizable. You decide exactly what is displayed for each line of the display (title, artist, album, clock...) for each source. There are several display modes as well. It is easy to use, but it is not intuitive when comes to menu navigation of all the options. So I would... I am just blown away with the power and the features. I automatically connect my Bluetooth Samsung phone when I get in. I use a 4 gig thumbdrive with massive tunes and if that wasn't enough I still have great a CD player, an auxillary input jack; 2 AM bands, 2 FM bands and all those wonderful HD channels! The install took about 45 minutes and did not involve any rocket science. I had great communication with the seller, My radio arrived safely in about 8 days and I am happy as hell with it! |
